The first one was smart, not overdone with special effects and the characters were credible. The series has gotten progressively more ridiculous. Not that it's not entertaining, but they've lost it for me.
Let us know what you think after you see it.

Good. Very good. Saw the first showing on wednesday here. Totally unrealistic, but very entertaining and the one liners are up there with those of Arny.

It was the most unrealistic pile of action crap I have ever seen. Id hit the chick, the Mac guy did very well (I think hes one of the top young stars out there today), and John Mcclane was a badass as in all the other DH movies...

But I literally think the producers went so far as to purposely make some of the computer scenes so fake as to INTENTIONALLY attract sarcasm after the fact. It was absolutely stupid. I walked out of there feeling raped.

Tell you what... My trust level in Rottentomatoes is sitting pretty low right now.

I had the opportunity to go see a double heading of DH4 and Knocked Up tonight. I skipped out because I gotta work early in the morning and I gotta save my money for the trip to St. Cloud with Tanner (Derrty_Deville) to get his new '89 Coupe deVille tomorrow.

The irony is Knocked Up was a frieken HILARIOUS romp. It was one of the best movies of 07 thus far, and I am not exaggerating. You missed out on that one.

DH4 was awesome for any fan of the franchise. As I've told others, since I'm an IT guy the computer-related stuff stuff is hard for me to take in pretty much any movie, as construction stuff would be for a construction professional, airplane stuff for a pilot, etc. I don't let it detract.

I'm into escapism. Four stars!!

I agree with you L5. Being a digi cinema major I know all the special effects and how they're done. The editing was excellently done (its what I want to major in). I am pist its rated pg. 13 coz he didn't say mother****er grrr. The whole conspiracy does seem a bit too unrealistic but the one liners were great. It reminds me of my dad...

:yeah:

I liked the movie a lot. The action was there and was full of typical McClane one liners.

Ok guys, sorry, but I was underwhelmed.

Not that it was a bad movie, dont get me wrong, I really liked it. Over the top action scenes are why I go to see these movies.

This just DID NOT feel like a Die Hard movie. Perhaps they should have titled it "Mercury Rising 2". This movie was closer to that than Die Hard. Bruce was good, as always, but he was not John McClane. And that was not a Die Hard villian. And I am getting tired of 'net hacking making it into any movie.

My favorite scene (to not give anything away) was the final gunshot of the movie. Awesome.

Kickass, best movie all year. A bit unrealistic at times, but still awesome. I would even go so far as saying it's better than the first one IMO.

But that was the most unrealistic scene of the movie! It made the end feel like a ripoff, if you ask me.
