Found a connection unplug that says ped 14 where does it go help please

No, the ground is used when programming a remote. It has nothing to do with a current remote operating or not. The ground (if that's what that is) is supposed to be disconnected.

If everything works, that's probably what it is.

That is what it looks like to me also.
You ground that wire to program the remotes - Other than that it just hangs around behind the carpet near the trunk pull down motor.

maybe I wasn't clear -

the PROCESS of matching the car and the remotes
REQUIRES grounding that plug you are holding -

that is the one - and only - purpose of that plug -

it has no other purpose - and no other use -
