hey guys, im new here and want some advice.....i know this is an escalade site, but i was wondering what differences there are between the denali and escalade, besides the body, the 20 hp and a few things like the parking sensor and more wood. i like both cars, because i know they are practically the same. same chassic, suspension etc right????? what really makes the caddy worth the 5000 more????? besides the badges.
also i have a Q about the bose system, does anyone know how many watts the system is.....also i noticed on the navi system radio that when changing the EQ there is bass, mids and treble. does the non EQ radio also have mids. is it identical except for the navi screen.

has anyone added subs into a excalade but kept the trunk space. i noticed the plastic areas where the jack is by the thrid row, can u put a sub system in there, if anyone has done that, can u sendme pics, thanks for everything guys

Is the Escalade worth 5k more than the Denali, is the Denali worth 5k more than the Tahoe, probably the answer is no to both questions, but after owning 6 Suburbans my Escalade is a much better truck, for what I use it for. I am in the process of adding a sub in the stock enclosure, it probably will be installed over the next month if everything goes according to plan, I will post when finished.

Hey, Huntingdon Valley? Where'd you buy your Caddy, Fairway?
No they would not deal at the time, I got it from Burke in Cape May, we bought 20 Grand Cherokee's over the last 10 years from them, and they sold me the Escalade for invoice. :) :)

That's cool. I just figured we might have a common connection there. I know one of the salesmen.

Believe it or not I went to Fairway 3 times,(I wanted to buy from them because I can almost walk there) twice I could not find a sales person, the third time I went (they had the truck I wanted at this time) , it was a cash deal and I was told that they could give me $1000 off sticker, with one phone call I got a better deal by over $7000 compared to what I was offered by Fairway.

Here are some of the differences between the Denali and Escalade that I know...for all I know now the Denali may have added some of these features but am not 100% sure..
Escalade features over Denali:
6.0 LQ9 engine which is more Corvette inspired than the normal 6.0 Vortec which adds the add'l horsepower.
HID Lights
breakaway fog lamps (hit them and see what happens)
integrated antenna
Road Texture Detection
Road Sensing Suspension
Ultra Sonic Rear Park assist
Second Row Bucket no-cost option
Nuance Preforated Leather
Zebrano Wood Trim
Bvlgari Inspired Clock and dash bezels
Bose Acoustimass Speakers w/ more watts
4yr/50k warranty vs. 3/36k
and the seats, in my opinion, are alot more comfortable

And the biggest difference is Cadillac or GMC- you are paying for the name but it is worth it in the long run

I look at it this way: If you're looking to spend these kind of dollars on a GMC Denali, why not dig a little bit deeper in the pockets and grab yourself the best, CADILLAC ESCALADE! I'm not degrading GMC's in any way, they're awesome vehicles! Yeah, they're the same in many ways but after sitting in both vehicles and comparing them in the showroom, the Escalade just felt so much more luxurious. For $5,000 more, I felt it was well worth it! It's like comparing a 4 door civic to a Lexus IS300. They both share the same chassis, but it's quite obvious that the IS300 is alot better as far as luxury and craftsmanship. Just my simple opinion on the topic.

Lesux is the luxury division of Toyota...the IS 300 is not based on teh civic in any way. But I get waht you are tryin to say. Its like haveing a 2 door accord and an Acura CL...both are the same cars underneath...but u pay for differnt options as well as the name and styling.

They are both Vortecs..only the Escalade, and now the Chevy Silverado SS, has the LQ9 Version of the Vortec. The suspension system is basically the same on the two, only the Escalade has Road Texture Detection and Road Sensing Suspension. The BOSE in the Escalade, I believe, has more watts and the acoustimass system under the center console.
