does anyone have a proven repair method. Have tried several over the counter epoxies and no luck. Glass shop said their repair was less than 50/50 successful.

I had a 07 yukon and i pulled the spade off camping and i solderd it back on. just make sure you do it quick . put solder on not too much let it cool then hold the spade with needle nose pliers kind off heat the solder that you put on previously and put the spade back on. there should be a little solder on the spade.

Do a search here for this, there's another thread about it.

I used the OTC epoxy that you buy at the local parts store, just make sure it is the type specifically made for this, conductive epoxy. It is good for reattaching the spade and fixing defroster grids. It's been two years, lots of wintertime use of the defroster and no problems with the repair.

Make sure you follow the directions and with a clean working surface it should work well.
