Hey guys:

Problems again........ front passenger speaker does not work...(silent)
All the other speakers work fine, including all the right side speakers.
Is there a separate wire from the head unit for this one speaker? Not certain it is blown, as I have had a blown speaker in another vehicle and it just made a noise, not clear music. This escalade speaker is dead silent.

Any suggestions? I was going to remove the panel and just run a test speaker to the same wires to see if it works.
If it does not............any suggestions???
THANKS ALOT

Funny I just noticed the other day that I have the same problem with the driver's side front speaker... Same as you it is just silent and all others are working fine.

I just noticed today that my front driver's side speaker is completley silent also. Was this issue ever resolved? If its a wire thats fallen off or something and just needs to be re-attached I'd rather not spend roughly $100 on a new, very sensitive, speaker.

Looking for an answer and stumbled across this thread, which is my exact problem.

Finally bit the bullet today and removed the door panel to get at the speaker.
As it turns out, the speaker itself is fine. As I removed the wiring harness from the speaker, it began to work. Seems like the actual connector itself, or the kink in the wire because it is bent down causes the speaker to cut out.
I bent it back into place and then taped the wire up....to the back of the speaker to relieve the stress on the wire, and it works properly.
Believe it or not, I missed that little old speaker.....lol :cookoo:
