The Dallas Dyno Day event was well worth the trip from Spring (Houston) to Dallas. Those that did not make it really missed a fun day. The event was well organized and the folks at 21st Century Muscle Car did a great job shuffling a large number of cars in relatively short time frame.

My LS6 turned in 358.7 RWHP. It is stock except for a set of RT high-flow cats and a Wait4Me tune.

Darkman's numbers were amazing! I was completely happy with my 363/361 with headers, no cats, magnaflow and tune (half assed).

Thanks Shady...i love the sound of my V. but my A/F ratio is in the 10s. Should be 12.8 or so. They said it should get to the 370s with propper tune

Cool to see all you guys together ... great pics!

I, too, thought that the V2's power as measured here seemed to be a bit high. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't followed a lot of V2 dyno results, but I thought they tended to run a bit under 500.

Again, nice pics, guys!

He was in the 490's then they decided to mess with the airbox...with that they were able to get him to 520.

First run was about 493. They saw a little timing being pulled at the top end and decided to mess with the stock air box to see if they could get it to breath better and ended up at 520. No trick or miracles here taking place, except maybe he's got a really well built V2 :yup:

It was a good day at the dyno and 21st Century was not only well prepared for all of us, but stayed late beyond normal closing to make sure all got a chance to get run. The numbers we're all pretty good and I think were quite reflective of each platform and their build level if all was running right.

sounds like a blast. unfortunately while you were all having fun i had a funeral to attend :( hopefully next time i can make the drive up.

490 to 520rwhp just by messing with the airbox? wow... i wish our V1s could gain 30HP by just modifying the air box for a few minutes :(

Could anyone assign year and mods to the dyno results?
Sounds like you guys had a good time.
Yeah, I think we can get a list up. I think Danny posted the list of names and numbers. We just need to figure out who had what year and mods.

As a footnote on the great performance on the V2, after the 520+ run with the abbreviated airbox (air filter was still in place) the airbox was reassembled and subjected to a final run making 511.6 RWHP.

Based on the runs and the conversations I overheard between the V2 owner and the dyno guys I concluded that: (a) the stock air box gives up a few HP in the interest of quieting the supercharger whine and keeping the air fuel mixture a little rich in the interest of reliability; and (b) removiing the airbox baffling not only removes the counter noise-related restriction it also temporarily tricks the ECM into a leaner conditon.
