Do a search for 'PersianV' ( i think that's the spelling) - he's a dude that often frequents LS1 forum but may be here too.

He has a black/black V1 that he did some MAJOR interior work on. Many will feel his efforts went a little too far (to each his own) but there are some great ideas inside that V.... gold tassels not withstanding.

Also - Tommy Compton silver/black V1 did some nice stuff on his interior.

They're both good guys and would willing to answer questions I'm sure.

The door panel inserts would be pretty easy to do an di actually looked into it once. Was going to cost $200 or so to do them in the same Alcantra as the seat inserts are done in. Swapping seats is kind of a pain due to the seatbelts.

My door panels ARE done in black Alcantra and they look and smell amazing. Not cheap. Not $200.00 cheap anyways (about double that) but they're awesome.

As you can see from PersianV's pics - black Alcantra can be easily over done...making the interior seem small and claustrophobic . I would be interested in doing my A,B,C pillars in Alcantra and leaving the headliner alone.

As for seats...yeah NO WAY on a swap. I had my stockers re-done at the same time I did the door panels , it came out nice too.

To me, anything else than stock is too much. Just keep it clean and it looks amazing. If anything, there are companies that make interior stick on panels that can work very nicely if the colors or pattern pair up with what's already in the car.
The black suede is pretty!
