How does the new V (LS2) sound compared to the LS6 V? I drove an LS2 Trailblazer SS last night with the single exit exhaust, and it sounded flat out ferocious. Trying to talk the wife outta the Denali and put her in the SS. This got me wondering about the new V sound. My V sounded like my old Z06 from the engine, but not out the exhaust. B&B X pipe has changed that. Does the new V sound ferocious? Or more muted like the 04-05s?

I think that they are using the same exhaust for the 2006 as on the 2005? So I would expect that it will be mellow. What ever happened to Corsa exhaust as a factory option???

I don't think that Caddy will ever standardly equip a car with a "ferocious" sounding exhaust (unless BMW does it first).

I want a Trailblazer SS; but I need to wait until they offer the SS package in the 7 passenger version....and I need 7000 pounds of towing capacity....


Edit: I just checked and they have a 6800 pound rating for the 2wd, and 6600 for the AWD. I can live with those ratings, but the fact that it is only AWD and not 4wd is a bad thing for my needs.

Didn't know the Trailblazer SS was out, they really hide the power rating, had to dig - 395hp. Thought it might have been detuned more. Looks/sounds awesome...:yup:

One of the guys, "GTXPrix" over at ls1gto.com has the first trailblazer SS built.
He has broken it in and I am sure it will be modded heavily.
