Do you guys know anything about the rumoured CTS-v+ (emphasis on"+")? Apparently it was going to use the "Blue Devil" Corvette engine, which was significantly more than 550 hp. But according to this item in the latest Motor Trend, it's now dead ...

Kinda figured dreams Dont Come True.
I think its a conspiracy :suspense: the world would have stopped in its tracks and the Bimmer & Merc boyz would have been 2nd to it.Shit the exotics would have come up 2nd to it.
Maybe GM got payed off NOT to produce it. :shhh:

Does that mean you're buying one of those 604 hp Mercedes CL66 AMGs? ;)

But yeah, it's too bad. Would've made Cadillac the Standard of the World again.
F the mags.... I STILL BELIEVE!!!
I always thought of the blue devil and cts-v as a fairy tale.

They can't even get our rear ends to stop whinning. I boughta book yesterday, called 1903-2005 catalog of cadillacs. Maybe you've herd of it. It had everycar produced options, colors, everything. It had a full page write up on the V for 04. Talked some babble about how the car was totally designed by cadillac and its a huge step to prove Cadillac etc. I was just amazed at how the book stats the car is aimed at younger luxury performance driven buyers. Basically imo it says exactly what we have always thought, that this car was a little underengineered. Don't get me wrong I'll line up for the car if people were gonna take cheap shots at it. I just feel that we got the value of what GM thinks 50g's is worth. I just wouldn't want to try their hand at cars valued less then that. For the money its worth it. If I was to do it again, I would. I just wish the little nagging problems weren't so important to the cars performance or life.

Any way I feel that the cars mentioned before, and some previous models are kinda like farytales for GM enthusiests. They usually are one off, show car-see what we can do type things. It is too bad as Cadillac is supposed to be the worlds standard if they were to hark back to the old days.

He's the one who broke the story about the 2007 V.. Heed his advise..
Lets just say....I know the engine builders...thats all I can say without the lawyers eviscerating me.

I'd much rather have the regular V with the LS7. That itself will be a bitch to afford for me with the damn depreciation. After 2 years the damn V is going to depreciate 40%. I can see the Super V costing about $80k
Figuring 17.5% power loss from engine to wheels, I'm already making "significantly more than 550 HP" at the crank. For significantly less than $80K.

I'll think about that this evening as I drive my V+Maggie home...
