A stock CTS-V hood is aluminum. EC hoods are fiberglass. That's all I can tell you.

I can take the V hood off myself. It hardly weighs anything. I know that doesn't really help much.

I like the heat extractor by SW better than the extreme composites. Both are nice though.

SW stated their extractor hood also includes measures to prevent the engine bay from getting soaked during a downpour. This is a VERY good thing. I've had extractor hoods on a Mustang and Miata, and rain was an issue. OEM extractor hoods seem to incorporate drainage systems.

gauge pod is from a mustang. hmmmm, i like it. love the car, too.

why do you say no to louvers, when you have them? how would they make a non louver hood easier to install??

I like the louvers & would order them again..... Just warning anyone that if you get them to expect extra body work. When I got the hood with the ordered louvers I was expecting to have louvers in the hood. What I got was the holes cut out of the hood & the louvers in a separate bag. So they had to be glued in & finished to look like they were made into the hood.
All I'm saying is expect to pay for extra body work to the shop that does the paint & install......................:banghead:

And Yes the gauge is mustang... works well , Just have to cut & shape the bottom to contour it to the V dash shape & paint to match
