So I bought the CTS-V Base front splitter.

Was thinking of getting a universal lip but I said screw it and ordered the OEM base one.

I will see what I need to do to make this thing fit

:D

The box...

The part number...

Box too big for something so small...

After light alterations it kinda sorta fits...

Too long on both sides... will need to be trimed

Big gaps between lip and bumper... some trimming of the lip will be needed to fit snug

:D

But it does look like it is doable

I will need longer screws and some rubber spacers though

And new holes as not all holes line up properly.

Just in case you are confused (as I was) about the difference in CTS V splitters...

Carbon fiber (optional splitter) ... typically over $1200

Base Plastic splitter... Typically about $200

You will notice the base splitter is smaller than the CF version.

I am sure you can make the CF work as well but I won't be throwing $1200+ to try it... (maybe one of you guys can)

:D

you need the whole front clip for this to fit right

----------

you will notice how on pic 5 the splitter does deeper into the wheel well...that is because the front clip in the V is longer...you can see evidence of this on pic 6 as well.....if you look at pic 7, look more closely at the brake duct area and you will see that they are deeper inset into the fascia

Yes.

You need the CTS-V front to make it fit 100% out of the box.

I have no V nor will I buy the V bumper.

But I will tweak the V splitter to make it fit.

And trust me when done you will not be able to tell it was not meant for it.

First fitting was very positive and I can get this done in another fitting (maybe today).

:D

Have faith, my child.

I been posting on the Facebook group first but here is the result...

:D

As you can see I still have to trim the ends but that is easy.

:p

It isn't the cleanest install (underneath) but no one will ever know

;)

Hopefully it doesn't fly off on the highway.

Nice work. After those first pics I didn't think it was possible to make this look anywhere near normal.

Update pics?

Looks about the same.

:p

Hasn't fallen off and still looks good.

Would I do it again? Yep.

5 Stars!

What all did you have to modify? Coming from the Mitsubishi Evo and ralliart scene stuff like this was quite common especially with all the aftermarket parts.

As far as modifying... all I did was remove some of the tabs, not all cause you will still need some to screw it into place, and trim the ends.

:l

It is really more so about applying pressure to certain areas to make it form fit properly.

It really isn't hard to make it work and didn't take me long, but I tend to mess with cars pretty often so this was a walk in the park.

The hood vents were a little tougher to work out

:p

Thanks for the info shouldn't be any issue getting this to work. Who did you find offered the best shipping price? So far I'm looking at around $300 shipped.

Well you have to trim some pieces off so it won't help unless you have the complete lip in front of you.

Since the V lip is wider you will hit certain places first.

I think I did the sides first.

I will post pics of the bottom when I have the front lifted
