Possibly a repost, appologies if so.

I may be quite wrong, but wouldn't the majority of the existing LS6 Corvette aftermarket parts be compatible with the CTS-V? Of course, some exceptions such as exhaust are to be expected, but cams, heads, blower, giggle gas etc should theoretically be the same. My thinking is that a LS6 is a LS6 whether it be in a Corvette or Chevette so most of the components should match regardless of the body-style. :hmm:

I'm coming from a M3 heritage so pushrods are not up my alley but the CTS-V has me captivated and I am giving serious thought (to eating your wife!) to buying one! :coolgleam

Internals will fit. Blower has to have all custom brackets and piping since GM had to change the front pulley system and intake to make it fit. I'm sure if you want to add 3hp for $300 you can order an aftermarket MAF sensor.

defenselaw,

We offer heads and cam packages as well as complete dyno tuning for the CTS-V whether you modify it or keep it bone stock. We can correct any of GM's stock tuning issues before you modify a bolt on the vehicle. The engine itself and internals are the same as the LS6 found in the Vette, however superchargers, headers, intake and exhaust are different and we are working on all of those options as we speak with different manufacturers as we know you are as power hungry as we are. 400 hp is just NOT enough.

Let us know what we can do for you.

Thanks!

Shawn

Thanks guys! I figured as much but wanted some verification before building a mods list and getting excited.

LAPD is quite correct, 400hp is not enough! And considering that upgrades are relatively cheap for the LS6, I would guesstimate that 450-500 reliable hp should be an easy feat.

Heard today from my dealer that Cadillac has an upgraded exhaust option available from your dealer. Anyone else heard of that? I'd like to get some more on-throttle growl but keep the highway noise like it is.
Its the Corsa exhaust. Not yet available. They will also have cross drilled rotors , different wheels, and carbon fiber engine cover.

gtx. My dealer sent me a new CTS-V brochure a few days after my purchase. They only received them once they took delivery of their, now my, CTS-V. It was truly amazing that I was able to buy a V in North Dakota. Not to mention from a dealer in a town of 20,000. They sold a ton of CTS's last year to farmers. A friend of mine had them order a V and he couldn't complete the deal so he made me aware of it. Amazingly, the dealer sold it to me for $2500 below sticker. Just a bunch of good ol boys up here in the midwest I guess. I am amazed and thrilled with my purchase. Our local large dealer in Fargo asked me to bring it over so his staff could see it. They actually thought that I had put V badges on a standard CTS until I popped the hood. They couldn't believe that there was a V in ND. Next closest one to us was in Kansas at the time.

I am also new to this Forum and have learned it is most excellent. Enjoy.:welcome:
