Bought it on e-bay for $75, huh? I lost an e-bay auction for a v-exhaust the other day... I wasnt even going to bid until it sat there for 6 days with no bids I figured, eh, why not? Hopefully you live close enough to pick it up in person, otherwise its gonna cost you more to have it shipped than you paid to buy the thing.

Ebay usually reflect the freight. Did they on the exhaust?

the cts v exhaust they had did not come with the catalyitic converters, does that matter when swapping the exhaust?? Do you need to have the ones that came with that exhaust?

Having not done the mod personally, I dont know for sure, but if you look at Bobs pic you can see his nice rusty cats still in place upstream from the shiny new v-exhaust. I think the only reason they were initially saying it came with cats was because they thought the resonator was a cat.

Nah, you keep your stock cats (in place). You only cut the both sets of pipes about 6 to 8" behind the cats and splice the V exhaust to your existing pipes (just like in the pic). The 3.6L has the O2 sensors on the pipes after the cats. The 3.2L has them on the end of the cats, rather than on the pipes.

Hey Robert, I just scored a brand new V-ehaust from my car dealer that came off the GM's fathers V. (nice son eh!) Its brand new and he let me have it for 100 bucks. My question is that its intact from the cats mount with hole's for the Oxygen sensor in each pipe. Will it mount to our cats as in the V, or is the opening a different size? ( I couldn't tell by eyeballing it ). I'm excited all this coming so quickly. My Volant should be here tomorrow, looking forward to that. I'm also going to add the high beam fogs with either the silverstars or the cool blue's and change the highs to silverstars as well since I ripped my lower air dam trim and have to be down their anyway. Robert I may have found a way to duct our volants thru the front and maybe wheel-wells. I'll keep you posted. I know you've ordered the volant as well, so if you've come up with an idea leave a note

Hoth,
I'd recommend I safe and proven hook-up on the exhaust. We preferred the 3.6 O2 sensors so the ecm was happy. After I get my Volant I need to see how it might work with the V bumper and brake duct. Sounds like you've got a lot of cool things moving your way. Keep us posted.

Read ya there as the V-exhaust has the O2 sensor holes in it, I thought I would use mine. I was wondering if you new the exhaust would hook up snug to our cats as is since the exhaust is complete. ( less the O2's ) By the way, can you do me a favor and e-mail my caddy parts guy the pic of the V-exhaust on your ride to see if they are up to the task. They have a second V-exhaust I might be able to turn on one of our members too. His e-mail is [email protected].. His name is Don Zugelder (Asst. Parts Mgr) and this gentleman is the one keeping us informed of all the new goodies. He says they need another week to get their site for the new parts up. The GM accessories guys are coming in weekly to get this thing going. If you like, see if he'll E-mail you back a picture of the CTS Signature emblem or decal and maybe you could check it out to see if it's worth the bother. I appreciate your help!!:highfive:
