Hi Just picked up a 2011 CTS coupe base model. I am not pleased with the looks of the halogen lights that come with the base model. If I were to buy an HID kit and have a professional install it would this modification effect my Daytime running lights or cause any other issues such as sensors or electrical?

Pull the DRL fuses (2) in the fuse panel to disable the DRL's. As for light-out warnings... I don't think the CTS has any. But to be safe you can get a kit that has in-line resistors to fool the system into thinking you're still drawing 55watts since the HID's only draw 35watts.
