Hi

I plan to install the overkill supercharger for my 2010 Cadillac CTS v6 3.0L.

I’ve done some basic research about the product and seen some of its application on YouTube, also thoroughly read through Will’s website about the 3 different stages and I got to say that I’m overwhelmed from the various information that I’ve read.

In summary, there are some questions that I’ve summed up that I would really appreciate getting answers to:

1- I plan to buy the kit but have it to be shipped overseas to Saudi Arabia, so what is the best approach to doing this?

2- My goal is the maximum yet safest increase in power, so I was thinking of doing a 2012 CTS 3.6 LFX engine swap with my stock LF1 3.0 engine prior to installing the kit. What’s your suggestions to this? And will it be worth it in terms of differences in the power result post installing the overkill supercharger in comparison to installing the supercharger directly on the LF1 3.0L engine?

3- Should I do a stage 1 or go straight to stage 3 supercharger installation if I stick to the 3.0 LF1 engine?

Really appreciate getting support answering these questions!

Thanks in advance!

I would say just get the stage one on your car and see how it goes. If it doesn't do what you want you can always throw some MACE cams with the fuel pump upgrade on it in an LFX/LLT low mileage motor and install that later. I wouldn't worry about the other "stages" until you see how your current setup works out. Stage 2 and 3 are add ons to the original setup and can just be added later if you don't get enough power. No need for any of the bolt on exterior modifications to boost power since the super charger will pretty much zero those out. Ie like ported TB, Spacer or ported intake. You MAY be better off swapping to an LLT engine if you do decide to go to a 3.6 as the LLT should pretty much bolt in, use the wire harness and ECM you already have. The LFX will require a new computer and other stuff to go along with it.

IMHO - if you are willing to spend the $$ on Overkill why not do a little extra and go for Stage 2? It was only the fuel pump on my LLT and that wasnt really that hard to do. Not sure about 2.5 on LFX, isnt that fuel rails? If you actually had the engine out of the car I would imagine it wouldnt take long at all.

Why? You don't need it and its only a marginal increase. I still say just get the base line and start there. You can always upgrade it later if you decide to.

The kit will help cool down your intake air temperatures which will keep your power levels more consistent. They are able to add more timing because of the methanol as well. I would highly recommend it for your area, if you need help putting together a kit let me know as I have a lot of experience with it.
