My CTS is about to have a birthday !!!! Been a great car so far.No real problems so far.. Reading this forum I guess I've been blessed. Seems like a lot of people have a lot of problems with this car. Well its the internet and you always hear more problems on anything rather then the good things
Anyway my Onstar is set to expire and I was wondering If there are any deals to be had? I have the Directions and Connections plan and at $299.00 a year It's more than I would like to spend. I know there is the Safe and Sound plan but would like to stay with the better plan....Any Promos going I don't know about?

I'm wondering the same thing about Onstar....I may let it go.

My experiences are about the same as yours too with the car. I did my own cabin filter today and it is 11 months old. The thing was awful looking so I'm glad that I did one. The engine air filter wasn't too bad but I did it too.

You can do a multiple-year OnStar renewal, which cuts down on the price somewhat. I did a three year renewal and while it is a large chunk to pay at one time, it saves you almost 30% in the long run. I believe if you pay for one year ahead of time it's $250. I kept my Directions and Connections specifically for the ability to create directions from my desktop or iPad, then passing them on to the car. Sheer genius!

BTW, I've had my V for two years and the only issue I've had was the front door handles, each of which individually failed and was quickly replaced under warranty. That's it! Been a wonderful car.

My initial free 6 months (CPO) of Onstar was going to expire and in an email I was offered a $12.95/month plan for Safe & Sound which I took. They had a Directions & Connections plan offer of $28.90/month. They also had 1 year plan offer of $149 for the S & S plan.
I then called up and had my wife's Onstar subscription in her 2011 Camaro renewed for $12.95/month also.
