I've got good news, Stephanie at Porterfield says they have a pad that fits our front calipers. The compound used is R4-S and they are $199 for the front pads and $109 for the rear set. I linked below to their website for the Cadillac CT6-V

R4-S High Performance Street Brake Pads
For high performance and heavy duty street conditions the Porterfield R4-S compound remains a top performer in the realm of street/performance brake pads. With the R4-S compound giving a friction level up to .41. This is an amazingly fast stopping brake pad. Simply put, they will give you an impressive increase in stopping ability with very minimum amount of pedal effort. Perfect for prolonged everyday street driving while also being capable of enduring the most severe use without fade. It is also rotor friendly of course. We have gone to great measures to ensure that the R4-S compound has the absolute lowest noise and dust levels possible, far below O.E.M. equipment or any other high performance brake material. The R4-S compound which has an overall win in the Baja 1000 is available for most models of cars, trucks, and SUV’s. Superb stopping power under heavy use. Great for occasional autocrossing, solo events, off road events and rallies. Perhaps one of the overall best performing, clean and quiet everyday high performance driving brake pad ever made.
Looks like the steel retention springs and the break wear sensors will work from original pads.

The new pads just arrived at my house. They look perfect and match up with my rough drawing very nicely.
I ordered them Wednesday June 2rd at 12:38 pm and they got them manufactured and to my house Friday June 4th at 1:30 pm all the way from California. I'm impressed with that!

New pad on sketch, looks like a perfect fit.

I just finished installing the new Porterfield Ceramic Kevlar front brake pads. The fit was perfect and the shape directly mimics the Brembo pads, so the spring retainers are also a spot on fit. I started the car up and it had thrown several codes for stability control, braking, and anti-lock. I used my Walmart bought code reader to erase them. Then I took the car for some testing and a half dozen 60 to 10 mph, quick stops. The new brakes work perfectly and when I came home using the brakes to creep position the car in the garage, there was none of that awful low speed groaning noises the Brembo's made. I'll report back after some miles while watching for the elimination of the vast amounts of brake dust.

So it should be easy to do it yourself, did you drive the pins out while still on the rotor? the connector for the wear sensor is tight, I usually end up breaking the plastic lock mechanism on every other car I have worked on,damn things, can you just replace the pads to the spring back plate without removing the sensor? Any advice would be great, just got the new Porterfield pads.

I finally got to install my Porterfield Brakes and no more front brake squeal, and no more groaning or moaning. The new pads fit like a glove and after 80 miles not a speck of brake dust in hi-way and in stop and go traffic. And yes I did disconnect the battery during the install. After reconnecting the battery , cleared the codes relearned the TPMS and operated all the windows as the cue screen said and all turned out great. When it comes time for the rears It will be
Porterfield Brakes ! (y)
Note; Porterfield Brakes recommends that pads are pre-bedded and just install and drive normally and they will bed themselves in within about 100 miles and to please avoid the 60+-0 absolute stops upon first installation to see how well they stop. Allow the 100 or so miles to pass before being more aggressive with them.

I'm loving mine also, glad you had the same experience as me! Battery more critical on rears, electric parking brake!

Pardon me as I’m not big on brake education like the rest, but you are saying that these fit just like the OEM pads and will not cause the DIC to scream at you saying your pads need to be replaced?

I know there was talk in other forums that changing to a non-OEM pad had issues of the DICsaying that they had 0% life left over, and I appreciate your hard work to push your performance even further. I would love to invest in these, but don’t want to suffer from the “0% life” issue on the dash.

Oh I’m sure it will need to be reset due to the changing of the pads, I’m just talking about the little sensor that sits on the pads and tells the computer how much percentage of brake life it has left. I know the off the shelf brembos everyone were Using to replace the OEM pads before didn’t have a slot for this. Thus leading to the DIC reading out 0% constantly.

I have ordered a new set of front and rear calipers from Porterfield and can't wait to get rid of these Brembo pads. Thanks mjdart54 for all the effort you made in finding us an alternative supplier that offers a product that solves the issues that many of us have experienced with these Brembo brakes. And Porterfield's pricing is incredibly good too!

I am the most anal guy I know about my vehicles, LOL, that brake dust from stock pads was a bit on the ridiculous side, Thanks for shining the light on these new pads, will probably buy a backup set, hoping Porterfield will keep making them. Nice work on that.

That link went up in June 2, thank for telling me about them, also glad they worked to get these done. With photos of my pad and dimensions they were able to find the correct back plate and fabricate them.

AAIIIC, you only asked if I had suggested Porterfield before which I had. You did not specify on only this thread. As far as my missing post, I searched for it 3 different ways and it didn't come up. Guess it was just a glitch 🤔

TA you did suggest I try Porterfield, which I did. They didn't have anything Cadillac related on the site as they seemed focused on other applications. Based on TA's suggestion however, I went back later and actually contacted them and provided them with photos and a dimensional sketch for their engineering team. Once they told me they could do the CT6-V brakes, I asked Stephanie if she could put a link on the website which she then did and I ordered them. I never would have found Porterfield Racing without TA mentioning them, so I am thankful for that.

One final thought, I tried to reset pad wear sensor to 100% in DIC, that dont work, thought like oil life monitor, not a big deal, dealer has to do it?
I can keep track of my own pad wear, just like every car I have owned for the last 45years

When I replaced my front brake pads showing 98% I reinstalled the wear pad sensor and it still showed 98% wear.
Replaced the pad wear sensor with a new OEM sensor, when I did the DIC showed detected new front brake pads,
yes or now. As soon as I picked yes it went to 100% found out that the sensor wears right along with the pads and that you need to replace the sensor every time new brakes are installed to get an accurate reading on the DIC.

Brake Pad Wear Sensor AC Delco GM# 84687075 Front and Rear use the same sensor
I got mine from GM Parts Direct . Ordered 2 sensors and still have the 2nd one for when I replace the rear pads. what is funny to me only one sensor in the left front and the other in the right rear. That's GM for you. !

Good Luck, late model service and repair manuals from GM as far as I know are copy protected for at least 3 years on what I was told. Their are company's on line that you can purchase a subscription like ALL DATA DIY where you pay for a time subscription on your type of vehicle. As far as a printed version goes the closet I found only went up to 2018 CT6 and that one was over $ 350.00 not including shipping and that was at Service and Repair on line. Helm publications on line only have owners and warranty books on line for sale.
If anyone on the forum knows were us members can get a printed service and repair copy please post it on the forum.

Update: I think I found out where he got them from and I bought the day subsrcription and figured out how to download the pages. Only bad news is that I am having to download everything one at a time. So It will take me a few hours, but should have a nice manual with all the pages and what not properly labeled and usable offline later today.

I don't know about replacing the rotors at 21K, first thing, the stock pads are soft (brake dust), so they probably didn't damage the rotors. You could have them resurfaced if needed and do a runout test to make sure they're not warped. That normally comes from very aggressive braking, so you'll have to assess that.
