Very interesting. There must be a V or a Vsport version in this car's future for sure - otherwise why would they bother testing the standard version over there?
Could very well be. I definitely didn't hear any grunt from the engine.

But, Cadillac is moving away from the legacy old style products and is aiming squarely at the European manufacturers in terms of chassis performance. So even the standard versions now are tested to the same standards as their European competitors. All the new Caddys are fundamentally well handling chassis. My ATS included.

I spent 2 weeks driving around southern Germany (in a Volvo haha) and I can tell you first hand- they take their cars and driving very seriously. You don't see very many obviously "modded" cars. If they are, they take care to make them look very stock. As if your car should be awesome the way you bought it.

Apparently it's more difficult for a camera to autofocus on the pattern. (At least that's what I was told at a recent car focus group where we drove some prototypes.) It also helps hide design features that the manufacturer doesn't want anyone to know about.

Not sure if the camo would really fool a cameras auto focus system but there are other ways to take a picture besides using the auto focus system. A photographer could focus manually, or focus on the driver inside the car or focus the lens on a spot at a certain distance and wait for the car to be that same distance away from the camera, really easy to do if a car is doing laps on a track.
I think it's more of a trick on the human eye to hide details in body work and curves and features of the car.

While I wont say the graphics are a waste of time .

"One day a visitor from the city came to a small rural area to drive around the country roads, see how the farms looked, and perhaps to see how farmers earned their living.
The city man saw a farmer in his yard, holding a pig up in his hands, and lifting it so that the pig could eat apples from an apple tree. The city man said to the farmer, "I see that your pig likes apples, but isn't that quite a waste of time?" The farmer replied," What's time to a pig?"

I will say I think its kinda stupid !
