CST-V Calipers and Rotors on SRX sport with 20"

So I need new brakes for my SRX and thought why not upgrade to the CTS-V brake setup. Found some OLD threads stating that the rotors are a problem, but nothing new. Has anyone done this? What do I need to do it?

The CTS-V weighs roughly 600 pounds less than an SRX4 V8.

Assuming the CTS-V brakes are "beefier" than the standard ones, how are the CTS-V brakes any better for an SRX than the standard SRX ones designed for the much heavier SRX? More swept area? Superior rotors. Softer and/or larger pads? The calipers?

htekwo......I don't understand your comments either. Agreed, OEMs will include brakes that are market and class competitive. The GenI SRX's brakes as tested and compared to the competition (foreign and domestic)by the reputable car magazines seem to contradict your experiences, even the mags that did long term testing.

I just had my second brake job at 85,000 miles. No issues in between brake jobs save for one loose caliper. No warping. No thumping. No fade.

My only negative observation echos that of many......that today's (thinner and lighter) OEM rotors are not built to last, even if one religiously replaces (high quality) pads well before the end of their useful life.
