I need to replace my rear differential bushing. Discontinued part, GM Part # 19121910.

From reading your topics of the past, I was pointed towards Creative Steel's solution.
04-07 CTS-V Rear Differential Bushing - Creative Steel

What can anyone tell me about the real-world differences between the Red vs. Black? Beyond the standard, "Black is for a Daily Driver and is similar to OEM, Red is stiffer and might be louder". Not looking for install comments, more what to expect from the two different products.

Pro's and Con's of each?

What other options would I have?

What is the benefit of the stiffer Red? What are the Pro's?

My car is a garage queen... see's less than 1,000 miles a year... never tracked or driven hard. I'm a slow old man who likes quick cars. LOL

The firmer Red bushing will reduce the movement of the rear diff relative to the rear cradle. This would result in a slightly more planted feel during spirited driving. The trade off would be increased noise transmitted from the diff to the rear cradle. That could increase the cabin noise level.
Based on your description of your driving style you would not gain anything from the Red except the bragging rights of having it. IMHO
Perfect. I appreciate the advice.

So, to further confuse me...I am in no way "smart" with this stuff... Cadillac did some much overdue recall work on the car. They said that I need to replace both the Rear Differential Front Bushings, Qty: 2, Part # 25742459... I'm assuming this is NOT the same one as the Creative Steel bushing, as their site states that there is only 1 per car.

Advice... Should I order 2 of the 25742459 bushings online, and then get the Creative Steel bushing as well... knock out all three at once?
