Hello there everyone. Hopin someone would shed some light on this topic here. i bought a sensor for my 2000 deville but when going to install it doesnt fit? is there 2 sensor on this car? and if so where are they located? thanks guys

There are 2 CKP sensors. Replace them both at the same time. They are above the oil filter adapter which needs to be removed to access them.

Your engine has two CKP's - both different. The proper sensor will only fit the proper hole. See Ranger's diagram. You will receive one gray, one black sensor. The electrical connectors are different also.

You ask how many and where are they but you tried to install the one you have.......that seems a bit difficult if you don't know where they are. And installing them is no small job - you need the car up on a lift with the air deflector panel removed as well as the oil filter adapter removed to give you room to work.
