crank position sensor?

Hi,
My car (98 sls) seems to be running great except, when I go from highway speed to stop on an offramp it stalls. Under normal city driving conditions it doesn't seem to be doing this. It will also do it if I sit in a parking lot, in park for a period of time it will do the same thing. I starts right up and runs fine afterward. Does this sound like a crank sensor problem, and or are there any other things I should be looking at as possible culprits for this problem.
Thanks for any input.

Sounds a lot like a crank shaft position sensor but do a good TB cleaning first, and check for DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes).

Yup, and most things other than a dirty throttle body will set a DTC. Read your codes and get back here with them.

If you're unfamiliar with how to do that, all the info can be found here:
