To rule out the spillage issue, hose down the entire engine compartment very well. Do not use a high pressure stream of water. Volume is your friend here. Coolant that is left to evaporate on it's own, can take a long time before the odor goes away. By rinsing, you will remove almost all of the residual coolant, and the odor will go away much faster.
