Well, I ordered what I thought was a SCSI drive for my other computer..... And I got one that plugs into a scsi card..... Without going into much detail, here is the rearview (connector side) of my old harddrive...... I know its not IDE, because I have a few IDE harddrives and the connector isnt big enough!!!

Please help......

I did a report on types of computer connections back in computer repair class, but it was in freshman year and I don't really remember much. But that is a 50 pin SCSI drive. If your new drive is 68 or 80 pin, I know there are adapters so they can be used with 50 pin connectors, but your best bet might be to return the drive and buy a 50 pin one.

I agree, Dave. As an SCSI user, I'd say personally that I would just get the pin adapter, to convert the 50 pins to whatever you need it to be, 68 or 80 or whatever. That would be the easiest solution, at least it is when you are for sure what pin numbers you are working with.
