Ok so this morning i go outside to warm up my 98 sls 92K. Its like 13 deg outside so go to start my car. It started up fine but then started to chug really bad. The rpms were going up and down from below 1 to 3 and 4 K. The all of a sudden it just died. So i start it up again and let it warm up and it didnt do it again. So later that day im driving home in a small snow storm and all of a sudden my car just dies while im driving so i pull over to the side of the road, put it in park and restart my car. Starts up fine so i checkd my codes nothing came up. I was thinking fuel filter but im not sure any help would greatly be appreciated.

Since it seems to be cold related, you can't rule out moisture in the tank freezing and ice crystals clogging the fuel filter. I would discount that if you are in an area that sells 10% ethanol as that will absorb any moisture in the tank. If not, try a can of gas drier in a FULL tank and see if that helps or get a tank full of 10% ethanol if available..
