If they fix a code, would it show up in the History during a code search now.

If they fix a code, would it show up in the History during a code search now.
I'm assuming "They" is you mechanic... well the answer is it depends. It depends if they erased the history after they "fixed" the problem with the car.

If the code is labeled C "current" the fault exists now. The fault is listed as H "History" it happened sometime in the past these History codes will go away by erasing them or by themselves after so many starts or successful tests depending on the code.

If it hasn't been cleared, it will go to history after 3 ignition cycles without the fault being detected. It gets cleared from history after 40 or 50.
