I don't consider the behavior that's described in this thread to be normal for a hydraulic clutch. My 7 year old Ranger (80K miles, original clutch & fluid), which sits outside all year long, has never behaved this way, even down to -10F.
So far, my '05 hasn't behaved this way either, though its coldest start temp has probably only been in the mid-20's. I don't notice any change in the clutch action from cold to warm.
