Clunking/Popping when turning steering wheel 2007 Escalade.

Seems when I turn the steering, even when just standing still, both left and right turns seem like they clunk thru the turn as I am turning it, as if something is rubbing or in the way. It only clunks once thru the turn on each side as if it pushes thru something. From what I have read it seems like the steering rack but just want to confirm. Rims are stock. Any ideas on what this could be?

x2 for swaybar end links AND upper control arm ball joins.

Granted swaybar end link failure is pretty common in GM cars... IDK why. We had a 2500 Suburban where the swaybar literally cracked in half, that was oddly amazing as you wouldn't consider that 1"+ solid bar as breakable.

And if you are wondering, this is 100% open road mommy mobile. No off-road stresses at all.
