Does anyone else notice a 'felt click' while resting your hand on the shifter. I notice it when coming to a stop, I am thinking this is the electronics downshifting?! 2002 STS. It is nothing major, just a faint feel. I have only owned this car for a month and am still becoming one with the force:D Has anyone else noticed this feeling?

P.S.
I hope this is the right forum. My question is not directly related to the N*, but I would like a technical response. Perhaps it would be better posted in the Seville forum. Thanks.

The 'click' is normal. I'm pretty sure it has to do with shift solenoids, sensors, etc. Basically the transmission letting the rest of the car know what gear it's in and what not - nothing to be concerned about. Just one of the behind the scene type things that go on inside a newer Seville. I can feel it in mine all the time, as I usually rest my hand on the shifter as I drive - old habit from owning so many manual-equipped cars. Welcome to the board.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was something along those lines and glad someone else could recognize and confirm the same thing. I am told by more than one mechanic that this is not just another car, but a true thinking machine.
