Like just about all aluminum wheels, they're machined and then clear coated. You can clean them as you would the rest of the car, or use a wheel/tire cleaner. I use Eagle One All Wheel And Tire Cleaner.

----------------------------------
the brushed aluminum wheels are factory clear-coated -
the general condition of the clear-coat
would somewhat determine the cleaning method -
pics might be helpful -

you might find helpful tips in the Detailing forum - here -

Here's a pair of machined/clearcoat 17" wheels off a 2003 CTS. They were washed and then polished with a Custom Chemical Packaging ( http://customchemicalpkg.com/index.php/joomshopping/categories-3 ) clearcoat kit. Available in most large parts stores. Use a variable speed 110 volt drill and a spray bottle of water or windshield washer liquid.
