I have a 2003 DTS and am wondering is there anyone who can help me. The DTS cigarette lighter circuit shuts off after 10 minutes after the key is removed. I would like to have it on constantly. I use a cell phone and other accessories which need constant power after the key is removed.

The car is equipped with a RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system. It automatically shuts off accessory power after 10 min. to prevent battery depletion in the event you leave a glove box or trunk open or a radio on. Probably the only way to have constant power would be to rewire it directly to battery power.

Does the RAP shut off power to the accessory outlet on the front left bottom side of the passanger seat?

I would think so but would not swear to it.
