Hi. I have a 2008 CTS with the Thunder Gray Chromaflair paint. I had to replace a front fender 6 months ago and pay 500 for a pint of the paint. Anyway now square chunks of the paint are peeling off on that fender. Two of them are about 4 inches by 4. Was it not cured properly? Inferior paint? Inferior painter? I am taking it back to the body guy who did it next week and want to know if this is his fault or what. Any help would be appreciated so I know what to say. I love this CTS and am really upset about this. Thanks for any help

Thanks for any help...(don't look at my dirty rims.....it rained today!)

The fender/bumper was not properly prepared prior to painting. Poor job by the shop/painter.

Good Luck, Marv

+1. Definitely the shops fault. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

I'm not a painter, but I know when I have previous repairs done when painting the non-metal parts that flex there is additional prep work and additives to ensure it bonds to the flexible materials, agree with all above, paint shop problem.
