I, too wish to thank the Administrators/Moderators for allowing us to continue this informative and inspiring conversation. It just goes to show as McCombie said:It just shows, that this kind of discussion CAN take place in a friendly, civilised manner, with no arguing, name calling, or other unpleasant things. Its a perfect example of how this place should always be. Thanks again. We appreciate it very much.
To all the participants :Sandy,Kev,McCombie 5, 93fleetwoodlowlow, and myself : we are truly a good example of cooperation, understanding, and harmony. I am honored to be friends with such people.
The hate groups that are spewing doctrine of hate, fail to realize one thing, and that's the fact that there is overwhelming proof that the horrible act of the Holocaust did indeed happen. They deny this because they wish to further their one-sided belief of superiority. I do not tink there is one race or ethnic group that is better than another. We were all created with different skills and ability to showcase GOD's will of a diverse society created in his image.

I agree, in that nobody is any better than anyone else, we are all equal brothers (and sisters) and should live side by side in harmony, like it was intended.

Well, I think the adminestrators & powers that be allowed this because we've all been respectful and - well, just plain nice. It's actually a testament to the quality of people on here. In unison, we should all take a bow.

I am alive. (and) being ALIVE, I like to know the world around me. Therefore I made a study of religon back in the 1960s. I have attented the religious services of Methodist, Episcopalian, Quakers, Pentecostal (where I was the only White person, at that time), Catholic,Luthern, Presbyterian and much more recently, the Jews-For Jesus group. It was a great learning experience. I met with some of the religious leaders of the services.
I was pretty impressed by the Jews-for-Jesus group. Allthough I thought that they were "confused" {being kind} I was also amazed as to how well organized they were. Unlike OTHER Jewish people, I DO believe they are here to stay, and are NOT a bunch looking for attention.
Few Non-Jews make a study of OTHER religions. I found it not so much a study of religion, as I found it a study of my fellow mankind.

I find most all people are good. Sadly, only the bad ones make the TV and newspapers. Thank you all for allowing me to part the curtains on my life and allowing you to look inside.

I have also started my own study of religions. Mostly because of the same reason you did and also so that I could get an understanding of them and not just go on he said/she said information. While I may not agree with all of them, I do however respect them and their dedication. That is something that is missing in today's world. Even though I am only 24 years of age, I have come to realize that you must take a stand for a cause or belief or you'll fall for anything.(Cliche, I know) We spend so much time separating ourselves from one another that we so rarely take the time to look for the commoness and originality that makes us all mankind.(As you stated). This forum is a great example of that. Even though we encompass all age/gender/race/ethnic/religious/ groups, we have come together to express our shared passion of Cadillac cars/trucks, and in the process we have found out that we have many more things in common than we may have expected. So to Sandy, Thank You for allowing us to get a glimpse of the man behind the enormous amount of info, beautiful cars, and find out that while we are different, we are also so very much alike.:highfive:
To everyone else that has shared a personal story we also appreciate the the act of sharing a part of your life with us here.

well put addison, well put. i think it is great that all of us from different religions/ backgrounds are able to share our 1) beliefs and 2) our outlooks on life and what we take for granted and not get offended by it. i would like to study other religions also and i think i got a fairly good glimpse of my Jewish brethren and he got a good look at the Christian viewpoint without anything going over board and offending each other. but i do believe there is a fellowship between Christians and Jews no other religion shares. i would love to get a look at the Muslims point of view on here also, so if any Muslims would like to post go ahead.

As mccombie states, I was more directing that comment at the season itself.

No offense intended to those celebrating Sol Invictus, the birth of Mithras, Saturnlia, the birth of Horus, or any other religion to come after seeking claim to the winter solstice.
