The payoff nobody would ever expect, was my Mom was a native New Mexican (from the state of NEW Mexico!) Jewish Population at THAT time was 2O per the state ! But you see, she was smuggled into the country of Mexico as a 14 y.o. after fleeing Nazi Germany and certain death. Once in Mexico (as is today) it was easy to get into the USA, and become a citizen and be safe. Mom was typically dark skinned dark hair and could make herslef look like a Mexican 14-15 y.o. She learned to speak fluent Spanish, and ate crumbs for food. She became a citizen, obtained a public school education at night school while working as a maid. Later attended college, graduated, paid back the loans, attended college, graduated college, worked waiting tables, paid back the college loans, attended & graduated Law Scool, passed the bar exam, became an attorney. Invested in real estate, and made alot of money, and would never buy one of the cars the children of her tormenters were / are making. Always an Imperial. She had plastic surgery to remove the tatoo'd numbers from her arm, but could never erase them from her heart & mind. It was indeed a looong 80 years....
What a great post. Too bad I used my points for tonight. I'd give them all right now.

What lead me to read this post, was the song that it placed in my head for the last two days. Don't know who sung it, or wear I heard it, but I want to find it on CD!!

It's a bluegrass/hillbilly song that goes;

"Christmas time is coming,
Christmas time is coming,
Christmas time is coming,
And we don't have very long..."

I've had a hillbilly singing in my head for two days, and I don't know if I should score Kev a negative or positive for doing that to me? ;)

well lets not forget the reason for the season
Some esteem one day above another, others esteem everyday.

In otherwords every day is Christmas and I want presents!!! :p

I cant afford to buy you presents everyday! the above statement is true, when you wake up do you say "Good morning Lord" or "Good Lord its morning"?
I don't need presents. :bouncy:

I haven't said "Good Lord its morning" in many, many years. I don't miss those days either.

Regarding Greandparents. I had none. They were gassed in Germany, all but one, that was shot trying to escape. I have no idea,nor feelings of what culture it is and/or related feeling are for grandparents. Void. Blank. Empty.
My paternal grandfather was KIA while returning to England. His grave is the English channel. His coffin his P51B.
