freakin sweet! it is almost christmas time. oh man i better start saving up. i know a guy who starts the week after the new year. well he doesnt do a lot but he gets a few things here and there and everyone gets more presents for Christmas. we on the other hand start the day after Thanksgiving, get up bright and early and start before the stores open... thats right infront of the line baby!

I'm with lowlow, it's going to be the day after Thanksgiving for the Addison Family. Or more accurately Mrs.Addison.

For my parents, I always go the day after Thanksgiving and for everyone else, I always go the day before Christmas Eve.
It's so hard to find a good tie every year though!

Hey, wait just a minute! I wanna enjoy all the other ones, leading up to Christmas! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Chanukkah and then Christmas ~ and then New Years' Eve and Day, and Day-Eve. Don't put me on "fast-forward" :helpless:
christmas is a friggin drag ....its lost everything its supposed ot be .....just a holdiday for everyone tob uy shit and whine they didnt get what they want ....yall cann keep it all , cept for the food .....
now halloween , thats my holiday .....i like scareing the dickens out of kids with my car ....i sit in my driveway the whole night , cooler full of beer , bullshitting will all my neibors and having a good time ....kids call me "that cool guy with the caddy".... i give out the good shit , i remeber what it was like to go to that one house that gave you a full size candybar ....its all about those memorys

all i want for holidays is for everyone to come over and have a good time ...i dont care about gifts and all that , i go get what i want ....so for years folks came over and all i heard was people cutting eachother down ....people have never spoken to eacthother again around here over getting towels for christmas ....
guys like me are elated to get socks for christmas .....always forget to buy new ones .....

Halloween is my movie night, I sit home and watch every scary movie that is on the tube. When I was 17, I remember going out at 11 with all my friends and toilet papering my biology's teachers home and then running around making mischief!
Now kids can't even get into my community, so no need to buy too much candy that I won't be able to eat in one night!

I know what you mean. You can't pick the family you are born into. Mine was highly sarcastic at family get togethers. After my grandparents passed we switched to spending holidays with more imediate family closer to home.
Now I cherish times with my last remaining grandmother, I love to hear her tell about her youth and family history. She and her family (my mother and aunts) were in base housing in Hickam Field when the Japaneze attacked. That was jsut one small episode of her very interesting life.
We eat and visit. It's great. During Christmas we give modest gifts to each other. The best gift is time together.
So Mike, the trick for you now is to not only find someone that you love and loves you but also has a family that you enjoy being around. No pressure there bud!:cool2:
