Does anyone know if there is still a chip shortage for certain features particularly for the 2023 CT5 Premium Luxury 3.0? I have a deposit on one that should be delivered by the end of September. This was dealer ordered before I visited the dealer.

I mentioned in another thread I waited 2+ months for a '22 V series that was completely built (4300 status = built). It was missing trunk trim I was told before I gave up and found another vehicle on the lot at a different dealer. It seems to be a crapshoot, some make it out quickly other not so fast.

Your situation sounds similar to mine if I understand you correctly. You bought a car (or put your name down) and it was "built" but you had to wait 2 + months? - Was that how long it took to arrive or how long until you said "forget it"

I called July 25th and saw a CT5 Sport ready to go and I really liked it. Put my name down. 2 weeks later I call and they say "it was showing MP status" so I guess it's missing a chip? So I have no idea how long I am going to wait.

For my 2023 CT5 Premium Luxury: It was ordered by the dealership on 07.01.2022, vehicle was produced sometime in the last week of August, and is currently at 4300 code status... so it is most likely waiting for a chip as well. Just sitting at a warehouse somewhere...waiting...waiting... and waiting with no ETA available.

What's worst is when I chat with Cadillac advisors online, they would provide me with the status of "in transit to the dealership" and best way to get more details of delivery status is to contact your dealership. What a fib! It is a conflicting information to what the dealership provided me as mentioned above.

It's been a very frustrating experience indeed!.

My dealer told me that if they were short on a chip or two, I would receive car and when the chip was available just bring car in and they would install it. My out of production week was Aug 22 and was pushed to this week Sept 19. Got an email from dealer today that the out of production week has not been updated. So I don't know if they are building or pushing date again. I assume they would update post if the date was being pushed. The dealer alsosaid there is no one for him to contact. I doubt that's true.

My 2023 CT5 PL was built as of Sept 23 and has a ship date of on or before Oct 13. It also has the seat air cool motor and all chips. Cadillac has it in code 4800 which means it has been shipped via rail and is now being loaded on truck to deliver to dealer. My dealer says it is in code 4800 but is waiting in MI to be shipped via rail. GM seems to be a mess.

Meanwhile...my built is still stuck at 4300 which means intermediate delivery. Curious what state you are in. If CA...maybe my car will be on the same shipment crossing fingers.

My dealer tells me that mine will be shipped by rail to PA then trucked to NJ where I live. He also said they could go to PA and drive car to NJ if it's being held up.

I was just told yesterday that our 2023 CT5 PL is built and in MI. It should be shipped w/n 2-3 weeks to IL, so not too far. Yay!!

My dealer did not even have any on the lot so two weeks later got to drive a CT5 that was going to another store, already purchased. Then told that the one that I wanted was not shipping and no date of when it will ship. Salesman found two others scheduled to ship so put $1000 down on August 19th. After a phone call from the salesman each week, picked up the car on October 5th.
