Is there a way (a hack) to lower the Chime volume below 23 where it was set when I bought it?

Seeing as how this is the XTS forum, you might have better luck posting in the SRX forum to determine if their CUE software is any different. In the XTS, you can lower the chime volume (to at least 20) under the Vehicle Settings menu.

Settings - Vehicle - Comfort and Convenience - Chime Volume

Chime Volume
This setting determines the chime
volume level.
Touch the controls on the
infotainment display to adjust the
volume.
