Check oil warning

Ive been getting this warning on the dash the last few days even thou I filled the oil to the correct level on the stick. Im wondering if my issuse with the ELC is causing my problem. My ElC is causing my car to be "jacked up" in back to the max. Im not gonna fix that till the weather around here gets a little nicer . tx

NO - while it might SLIGHTLY affect an accurate reading -
the problem is the OIL LEVEL SENSOR - it screws into the side of the oil pan -
you can check that the plug is clean and tight -
but it is probably defective - and needs to be replaced -

for a new delco switch -
the best price I found was $27 including shipping -

Thanks guys. Now that I know that the sensor is out side of the oil pan it makes sense.. My alley is nasty between lack of proper maintenance by the city and the snow. Its like off roading back there. Could the connector have been pulled of or damaged?
