09 ESV. 120k miles. Took on road trip. Everything was fine, pretty much all interstate travel. 70 mph+ for the last hour of the trip. As I exited and the truck came to a stop on the ramp, it seemed to give a slight shudder as it came to a complete stop. Check engine light came on,but no message came up on the display or it didn't even give a warning chime. I just looked up and it was on. I continued on my trip and the truck drove fine through city traffic. Engine light stayed on, even after turning off ignition and restarting multiple times. I contacted onstar and the diagnostics person said it was reading a transmission malfunction that set the light off and all other systems were normal. After running the truck in the city for a couple more short trips, the light just went away. I then made the exact same interstate trip back home this evening with no issues and no light coming on. Nothing out of ordinary with any other system. My question is, should I take this to the dealer to have them look at it right away, or do these warning lights come on and then go off with nothing truly being wrong? I feel like I've seen something similar to this in another post awhile back, but it was with the service stabilitrack and it was after towing something long distances. I couldn't find that post anywhere so I started this thread. Thanks for any tips on diagnosis of the problem.
