Changing State in Navigation

Hey everyone,
I am sure there is a thread about this on here already, but I cant find it. Everytime I press the State button in navigation mode to change the State for an address lookup it says no data matched. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is or how I can get around this? I have the latest firmware version and latest nav CD.

Re: Changing Sate in Navigation

are you "stuck in Michigan"?

read the sticky on firmware.

Ok, since you say you have newest firmware, you should be able to enter a new destination, out of state.

Try your old map disc and see if it works.
Change the state before you put the address in.
I just had my nav replaced (pealing buttons) and have the same problem. Interestingly, I entered a location in Indiana as a stored point (I live in Michigan) and am now stuck in Indiana. This is only true when entering an address as a destination. When I try to enter a POI the state field is blank and I can enter whatever I need, but when I try to enter an address as the destination it comes up with Indiana pre populated in the state field and when I press the state softkey I get the "no data matched" message. I'm assuming I need a firmware update but I'm not sure it's the same one as the stuck in Michigan update. My map DVD is rev 6.0 which I didn't think needed the firmware update that fixes the stuck in Michigan problem.

Anyway, it goes back in to the dealer to get this fixed on Monday so I'll let you know what they find.
If you're entering any address info before changing the state, that's the reason it's giving you the "No data matched" message. These systems are really finicky about how you enter the info (i.e., there is a difference between US 441 and US-441).

Try changing the state before entering anything at all and see if that works.

Tried that. No go. Still stuck but I'm back in MI again. I guess I'll need the reflash afterall.

Went to the dealer and they're going to try getting me a new map DVD to see if that fixes the problem.
New map disc will not fixit.

Needs to be flashed.

In the mail!
Thanks, you guys (and this forum) are great
