Changing & smoking headlights

Ok so those who were at the meet in NJ noticed my bad headlight, well Im really wanting to tint my headlights and nows a good time. BUT I cant do that old headlight (I just want a New one). The prices are retarded!! I found the ebay chrome ones and theyre 350! should I do that and just sell my nice one??

Im gonna black them out and probably do 55w lows, and MAYBE 75w highs ( I hope heat wont burn the lenses.

What do you guys think?

P.S. please dont comment on the hazard of tinted lights and all the b.s. lol
Im fully aware of everything.

The headlight pricing is out of hand. i was checking for newer headlights and the best I've seen was 220-240 shipped.

And yea same here, Im really feeling just buying the chromed ones off ebay. Have you seen anyone grab a set yet?

Do it. I tinted mine along with the fogs and the car looks so much better. I also have 55w HIDs and they are still bright but the tint does slightly change the color.

I went for a set too; they just arrived yesterday. They seem to be oem quality. i'm pretty pumped to get them installed with 55w lows (hopefully this weekend). i'd say go for it man!

Did they come with the headlight adjusters? I'm not sure of the proper name but its what you use to aim the lights with.

I remember that haha. Idk man I actually like those chrome ones alot. With a light tint over them that would be sick as hell.

there is a vertical rod on the back that appears to be an adjuster. i'll post a pic if i can find my camera-to-usb cable...

Do it! I tinted my tails with the cheap spray tint from oriellys and I was impressed but the turnout.

Thanks for taking the pics. I see it comes with the up/down adjuster. I'm guessing it doesn't have the right/left adjuster? The reason I ask is mine is stripped and I have to use zip ties to prevent it from moving.

i just looked again and i am guessing this post provides horizontal adjustment depending on how far in you run it? It's on the back of the housing near the inboard edge.

i've never seen the stock housings out of the car but i'll compare them if i ever get time to take the bumper off. This (at outboard edge) adjusts the projector and high beam reflector:

based on the overall appearance, i would think they would provide adjustment capabilities. hope so.

That plug is where the left/right adjuster shoud go. It looks like it doesnt come with one. Darn.

EDIT, oh and that first pic, I believe that is just a ball joint(don't know the correct name) that goes into a plastic piece in the car. I'm not sure if that provides any adjustment.
