I'm about to change out my Transmission Control Module with a used one from the same year as my car, 1997. I have a tranny warning light that comes on sometimes, and I got this unit cheap so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it just in case it's the problem. My question is, is this a simple unplug, swap, and plug in thing, or is there some hidden danger I may run into? I just want to be sure there won't be any compatability problems because of VIN number or whatever. If anyone has changed theirs out, please let me know. Thanks!
