I have a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Bro., I'm losing a lot of gas, so i wanted to start with something that might be the cause of it. If anyone knows about Caddys could you please tell me exactly where the O2 sensor is so i can swap it out to avoid the expensive mechanics???

it's really easy to change you'll have to look under the car on the exhaust on pipes look at the sensor that goes before the converter

You will either need a torch or you need to warm the car up I prefer a torch because you can heat the sensor without heating the rest of the car and you avoid getting burned.

You will need a 22mm wrench or an adjustable wrench if theres enough room.Just heat it up for about 10 seconds and remove or run teh car for 10 minutes.

Check under the car though to make sure if you have 1 or 2 sensors.

On some cars the space is limited so you'll have to be creative.

Well, we should make sure first that the 02 sensor is actually the problem. Do you know how to check the codes? We can tell you exactly what the problem is if you have any codes. Check everything under the hood, all the vacuum lines and such, run some fuel injector cleaner through the gas. If the CE light isn't coming on, it's probably not the 02 sensor. IF however you're bent on changing it anyways, it's in the driver's side exhaust pipe just below the manifold. If you don't care about the old one, just cut the wire and stick a socket on it. You might need a breaker bar. Either way, make sure the exhaust is HOT! when you remove it. You may as well be trying to move the pyramids if it's cold when you do it.
