So I'm sure some of you know that if you blow the 10A mini fuse while replacing interior lights in the ATS the shifter will lock and not go into gear. I have every led installed on my 2016 except the puddle lights on the bottom of the doors. My question is should I just pull the fuse before installing them? or should it be safe to just simply turn the courtesy lights in the off position before replacing them? Will I still blow a fuse? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I did all interior lights minus glove box and visors. I did the door puddle lights, plate, trunk, and backups too.

I didn't blow anything and I didn't pull any fuses or disconnect the battery. Maybe I got lucky?

Could always just disconnect the battery as well for the peace of mind.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it and just do it. It'll take you 5 mins.

I always disconnect the battery when dealing with electrics, especially when I've swapped steering wheels. Airbags are always a bit scary to deal with haha, but nothing has ever happened so I'm a believer in unhooking the battery personally.
