Under 'normal' or easy driving conditions the manual recommends 100k. If you tow a lot or drive in dirty/harsh conditions then every 50k. Since the front diff has a history of going out on these things I changed it at 50k.

I bought my truck with 64k on the clock and probably did the first change. There was only about 1 qt that drained out of the rear (it took ~4 qts to fill it up) and the front was low as well, so my plan is to change it every 25k especially since there are so many differential problems. Like Luxury said, if you don't know when it was done last, go take care of it. The stickies at the top of the page will walk you through the whole process.

I recommend changing the diff fluid every 30k miles. When I had Jeeps, that was recommended and thats what I currently do on our pair of subarus. Great advice above...if you dont know when the last time was...just do it.
