We've been the owners of a 95 Deville Concours for a month now. The second day of ownership, when turning off the ignition a CD came out of the CD player. The CD was owned by the PO, was in the player but wasn't playing. We had been using the radio 100 percent of the time. So we decide to use the CD player and our CD is sucked into the player and would not play and would not come out. Oh great, that was one of our new CD's. So back to the radio. At our next stop, turning off the ignition made the CD come out far enough for my finger tips to grab it. I removed it and since that time I have not tried to use the CD player.
I imagine that the CD player needs a good cleaning but I am not sure how to do that. I know there are CD cleaners but I think that is just to clean the laser. I think the mechanism itself is a bit dirty. Maybe some compressed air blown in will move the dust off?
Has anybod else had the same problems and if so, what did you do to fix the problem?
