Hi I bought a non-Bose cd unit off ebay to upgrade because I have the cassette unit, but the volume knob doesn't click on/off like my cassette does.

It does take in the disc and return but thats it.

Is it junk or am I just not aware of something I should know to get it working. please help, thank you
