With this new forum, it's not as easy to search anymore...

Is anyone running a catch can? I had a conversation with someone at the Cadillac dealer and he brought this up.

Lots of guys with LS motors run them instead of relying on the PCV system to scrub things and then just send it through the intake.

The topic came up because I mentioned that the electric plugs for my VVT actuators are always soaked in oil. He mentioned to be careful because there are little screens in there, that can get clogged and cause VVT related DTC's. He was saying if it's a lot of oil, with the S/C engine, there may be too much crankcase pressure and it's just pushing out the weakest link(s).

Mine are seeping, (you can see oil on the plugs) when I bought the car a few months back. I haven't noticed any of the symptoms of excessive CCP and have not noticed any performance issues (still stupid fast) but have nothing to compare it too. I was hoping to put the $750 repair off until the seeping turns into a leak. Can I just wait for codes to appear? I like to be proactive on maintenance to keep repair costs to a minimum. (Like that's gonna work on this expensive toy!)

I'm closing in on 83k and no issues, so...

Again, it was just a passing conversation as we were talking about the notorious N* design cam covers and their penchant in life to leak oil.
