Cardone Axle vs AC Delco Axle

Thinking about replacing my cv axle shafts and noticed the HUGE difference in price between Cardone at 45 dollars and AC delco around 200 dollars.

Has anyone replaced their cv axle shafts with a Cardone?

Junk... that is why they are $45.00! The boots are Neoprene, not Nylon! While the cheapies might operate properly for a short period of time, the boots will deteriorate quicker than wet toilet tissue! Then you will have a huge mess of CV grease to clean-up, this of course, only after you hear the clacking sounds coming from the now unlubricated joints letting you know they are junk! What is wrong with yours? The OEM axles are good for 300,000 miles. If you have a split boot, your dealer sells the AC/Delco boot kit, includes new grease too! Service dept. can easily install boot for you, as it takes a crimp tool that all GM dealers have. Just make sure you change the transmission output shaft seals. Those seals cost about $5.00 each, take about 10 minutes each to change! You might lose a cup of trans fluid total that will need to be replaced with change of both seals.

The Cardone are nice axles for the money. But as stated the boots are not like OEM. I tried a pair to rule out a shake problem . I still have the OEMs.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing! Someone on here mentioned the OEM axles had issues. Well some might he said.
After a couple of weeks. When the car sits over night and I first put it in reverse I hear a click. I think its the Cardone 1/2 shafts. I saved the OEMs but I'm tired of working on this Caddy.

I hear a click on the right side when I reverse or hold the brakes ans turn to the right. I think its the control arm though.
Put the OEM 1/2 shafts in click gone. I did get the OEMs to click once when I was slamming the car in Park/Reverse testing but normal driving the OEMs appear to be much better. I think I'm finally done working on this caddy for awhile!!!
