Hi I have a 1987 fleetwood d'elegance 70,000 original miles.

Got home from work "Service Now" light went on. Went to start the car, engine cranks sound like it started, then dies. If I pump the gas and hold my foot "in-it" the engine start runs at high rpm. Once I let it idle the engine dies.

Any ideals?

Jim

Couldn't this also be a stuck EGR Valve?

Since the Service Now light came on while driving this would make more sense to me since the ISC motor is disconnected while driving. Or am I wrong here? :)
